Region Ten Hiring Process
1. A Region Ten Application is necessary for consideration for employment.
- A resume may accompany your application but cannot be used in place of an application. Region Ten positions may indicate a deadline. No applications will be accepted after the deadline specified for that position.
2. Hiring supervisors review all applications.
- Hiring supervisors call prospective applicants for interviews, and testing – if necessary – for the position.
3. The interviewing selection and hiring is done entirely by the hiring supervisor and is not a Human Resources function.
- There is no specific time frame for filling a position. Some supervisors make quick decisions and set up interviews within two weeks; others take a month or longer.
- Notice will be provided to employees who are not selected for a position.
4. Offers will be extended by the Human Resources Department.
5. Once an offer is accepted, Human Resources will provide an offer letter, job description, and new hire paperwork. An orientation date will be scheduled with the new employee. Additionally, credentials and licenses will be checked.
- Credentials/Licenses
- Notice is given to the employee regarding where and when to attend Region Ten Community Services Board orientation.
6. On the first day of employment, the employee will attend an orientation that includes an overview of the agency, policies, and benefits. The following will be collected on the first day:
- Fingerprinting and a criminal background check
- Social Services – Child Protective Services search
- DMV Background (if required for position)
- Proof of auto insurance (if required for position)
All employment at Region Ten is contingent upon acceptable results from the background checks.
